Well… life happened. Not the Pinterest kind. The “how did I end up Googling how to start a business at 2 a.m.” kind. Long story short, I used to wear collared shirts and sit in meetings. Now I chase kudu and try to sell gear without going bankrupt. Upgrade, right?

Untamed South started because I needed to make a living and because buying decent outdoor gear was starting to feel like applying for a home loan. I’ve always liked having the right stuff when I head out. Whether it’s a rifle sling that actually holds or a dive knife that doesn’t rust after two uses, gear matters. But have you seen the prices in retail stores? You’d think a basic shooting mat came with a private land lease and a biltong hamper.

The truth is that big shops have big costs. I don’t. I run lean, source smart, and pass the savings on so people like you and me can still afford to get out there. We’re not here to sell dreams. We’re here to make it a bit more doable to live them. Even if all we save you is a few bucks on something you actually want, that’s a win.

Also, I’ve got a family to feed. And let’s be honest you don’t want me back in the corporate world. I’m allergic to ties and PowerPoints.
